Potluck, Documentary, and Panel Discussion: “I Dream of an Omaha Where…”

This Sunday, August 28th, Social Justice invites you to put a human face on Omahans who have or still are participating in gangs and the people who have been tragically affected by gang violence, the Social Justice Committee will show the video, I Dream of an Omaha Where…. It features the stories of current and former gang members and victims of gang violence. The documentary will be followed by a panel discussion from four participants of the I Dream Project. The panelists include the mother of a 5 year old child killed in gang violence; the mother of a son who is accused of 2 counts of gang-related homicide;  a former gang member who has just recently completed culinary school; and the leader of RAW DAWGS, a gang prevention program for boys ages 5 through 13.
