At the Unitarian Universalist General Assembly in June our delegates voted to accept “Stop Cop City” as an Action of Immediate Witness. ACIWs are issues that are so critical that they skip the regular process of two years of study in congregations before a vote.

If you are planning to contribute to KIOS, you may do so through Second Unitarian. We will bundle all KIOS donations and purchase ad spots for our church. Last year we were able to purchase ads on “All Things Considered” for 52 weeks!
Condolences go out to the family and friends of Jack Frost, who passed October 20th. A memorial service will be held at Second Unitarian on November 1st at 10 a.m.

Rev. Juniper is hosting a Samhain service Halloween evening. In many Pagan religions, Samhain is the division of the year between the lighter half (summer) and the darker half (winter). We will mark this time between times together.
Join us for our fall clean up day. Fall is a beautiful time of the year in Omaha. Temperatures are mild, there isn’t much rain, a great time to tidy up our Church Yard! The building needs some attention, too.
These two classes are designed especially for newcomers but are also open to members. We will meet in the church sanctuary to reflect on our spiritual journeys, explore Unitarian Universalism and learn about membership at Second Unitarian.
